Blix Product Updates: May 2026

A few months into 2026, we’re seeing more and more teams rely on AI to scale their research workflows. Here's what we’ve been cooking recently to help you move faster!

Agentic Codebook Generation

We’ve improved how codebooks are created behind the scenes in Blix using a new “agentic” approach, designed to deliver better results without adding any complexity on your side.

The experience is just as simple as before (still one click), but under the hood, the system is doing a lot more to build a stronger, more complete codebook from the start.

Before Traditional Flow Location And Proximity 32% Room Comfort And Cleanliness 24% View And Fountain Experience 12% Overall Experience 8% Other 24% After Agentic flow New Location And Proximity 35% Room Comfort And Cleanliness 26% View And Fountain Experience 14% Overall Experience 9% Staff And Service Quality 4% Other 12% 24% less “Other” on average (up to 50% in some cases)

In our tests on real survey data, the upgraded flow reduced the “Other” category by 24% on average, and up to 50% in some cases.

What this means for you:

  • Better coverage of your data
  • Fewer responses falling into “Other”
  • Less manual cleanup and codebook adjustments
  • Faster time to coded data and insights

Same simple workflow, just better results.

Open-End Coding via API (Beta)

All of Blix coding capabilities are now available via API!

You can now:

  • Integrate Blix directly into survey platforms or panels
  • Build automated trackers, including open ends coding
  • Stream coded data into (live) dashboards
  • Connect Blix with your own agents and automations

If you’re working with ongoing trackers or real-time data, this opens up a lot of new ways to automate and scale your text analysis and speed up delivery.

What are the 4 types of data analysis?

The four main types are:

  • Descriptive (what happened)
  • Diagnostic (why it happened)
  • Predictive (what may happen next)
  • Prescriptive (what actions to take).

Most survey analysis focuses on descriptive analysis, with diagnostic analysis used to explain key drivers.

What are the four types of survey methods?

Common survey methods include:

  • Online surveys
  • Phone surveys
  • Paper surveys
  • In-person interviews

Online surveys are the most popular types used today due to speed, reach, and ease of analysis.

How do you analyze open-ended survey questions at scale?

Manual verbatim coding becomes inefficient and inconsistent as response volume grows. Software-based analysis platforms, such as Blix, support scalable qualitative analysis by automatically organizing, categorizing, and summarizing text responses across large datasets.
